International Association of Fire Fighters
Honoring America's Bravest
The International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) represents approximately 267,000 dedicated and highly skilled professional fire fighters. Since its inception in 1918, the IAFF has provided the highest quality training available and has consistently led the way in developing innovative firefighting techniques. With approximately 2,900 affiliates representing thousands of communities across the United States and Canada, the IAFF remains the premier organization dedicated to protecting persons and property from fire's destructive force.
We believe that America's bravest deserve America's best custom-minted products. That's why we're so proud to make custom medallions and more featuring the official IAFF logo. Northwest Territorial Mint contributes a portion of revenue earned from the sale of items minted with the IAFF logo to help support the life-saving work of fire fighters nationwide.

Vulcan, the Roman god of fire and iron was, more often than not, portrayed in coins with blacksmith tools or using them. This bust of Vulcan has the trademark tongs behind the head. The reverse has an eagle perched on a thunderbolt. Vulcan was not a frequent coin subject for the Romans, however.
