The National Rifle Association
Paying Tribute to an American Institution
Since 1871, the National Rifle Association (NRA) has vigorously defended the right of every American to keep and bear arms, a freedom enshrined in the text of the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution. Through its nationwide advocacy and education efforts, the NRA continues its mission to preserve the principles of freedom established in the Constitution by our nation's Founding Fathers.
As an official partner of the NRA, we are proud to mint medallions, knives, and other products that salute this organization's dedicated work on behalf of all Americans. Our NRA licensed products, detailed with the distinctive NRA eagle emblem - are prized as symbols of affiliation and tangible tokens of membership.

1776 marked not only the signing of a Declaration of Independence for the thirteen American Colonies, sending notice to England and the rest of the world that the Colonies would submit no longer to outside governance and interference. It also marked for the colonies their first exercise of the right as a sovereign entity to coin their own monies. Using coin designs developed by Benjamin Franklin, Continental Dollars were struck in silver, pewter and brass.
