The White House honors America’s military men and women by featuring decorations composed of military awards on the official Christmas tree. Hanging from the 18-1/2 foot fir in the famed Blue Room are actual Purple Hearts, Bronze Stars, Air Force Crosses, Legion of Merit, and Silver Stars, the same minted products as produced by Northwest Territorial Mint to award to America’s military men and women.
